Currently in the Positron version listed attached to this discussion, the variable pane doesn't incorporate "smooth scrolling" to expose object names. You almost have to constantly "click-and-grab" to expose object names like so:

This behavior is somewhat dissimilar to how you are able to "smooth scroll" to expose a long variable name like so:

This isn't of something that deters me from using Positron, moreso something I am curious to see if this behavior is intended and if there is discussions incorporating a "smooth" scroll method as it is slightly more convenient to quickly and smoothly expose object names.
