OfficeDevPnP.Core.ALM.AppManager on premise

Hello there
Working with SP2016 (Provider-Hosted) on server Code (C#), I've noticed the class OfficeDevPnP.Core.ALM.AppManager is not available.
Silly me I, tried to use the Online Version just to compile… but it didn't work. (ERR: Cannot find resource for the request tenantappcatalog)
It seemed like the perfect fit:
To add an app/add-in to an existing SPWeb; import the ALM dll, create and use an AppManager

using OfficeDevPnP.Core.ALM;
...
var appManager = new AppManager(ctx);
var app = appManager.GetAvailable()
                .Where(_app => _app.Id == APPCLIENTIDGUID)
                .SingleOrDefault();
appManager.Install(app);

Well... it's not. ...not for SP2016 (2013/2019).
May I ask so bluntly:
How can I install an App/Add-In (just to have the WebParts/AppParts/AddInParts 😅 available) to a SPWeb?
