The pre-styled component kits are great for r3f users, but developers using vanilla three (@pmndrs/uikit) can't currently use them.
Would there be interest in extending the component kit system to support vanilla as well?
There are interesting challenges to solve - maintaining consistent styling between the two versions (perhaps via a build step?) and finding a good pattern to expose them to users (as shadcn's approach is quite react-specific). But having consistent UI components across both r3f and vanilla projects would be great.
Happy to discuss implementation approaches if there's interest in exploring this further.
