Update SMTP credentials on server

Hi there,
Been running self hosted plausible for a while. I wonder how I go about and update the SMTP credentials? I tried to update the plausible-conf.env and restart, but that doesn't change the SMTP credentials used.

If anyone knows how to do this I'd be most interested to know how!

That's the tricky part about Docker Compose, it doesn't track changes to the file in env_file directive. You can try and double check that the env vars have changed, if they haven't, you would need to stop, remove, and then recreate the container for it to pick up the new env file.

So i tried to do docker compose down and then docker compose up -d, as a test. It didn't go so well. I got some postgres errors, and then it refuses to connect. Not sure if plausible supports this?

If curl http://localhost:8000 works the errors can be ignored and the problem is in something else, e.g. reverse proxy. If you used caddy-gen, I think it needs to be restarted together with the containers, otherwise it won't be in the same bridge network.
