Is this a feature for the backend or frontend?

Backend, Frontend

What would you like?

I would like something where I could have sections that different projects belong to. Maybe like an overall group or organisation, allowing for in-depth organising.

Each project could either be part of an organisation/group, and projects not put inside one of these will just show up normally. Now imagine projects in a different section. It's hard to explain so I will attach an image, an example can be seen below from the image.

Why is this needed?

It's not really needed but it would be nice to have.

Other information

No other details for this.

Hi! We already implemented something similar in the v2 by splitting projects into private and shared categories, which are displayed exactly as in your example. However, it might be even more convenient if users could assign their own groups 🤔

This is nice to hear. :) Trying to organise v1 right now is a little bit of a headache though doable, can't wait for v2.
