Hi, thanks for the great workflow. I found on README.md that it could also be used with hotkey. But for me, I tried the defined hotkey on 10.13 but it doesn't work.

  • open alfred search bar, give div, and then use the hotkey like ⌃ ⌥ ← , which doesn't work
  • use the hotkey directly in the windows to make it left, like ⌃ ⌥ ←, which doesn't work

Is there any more tricks to use the hotkey function?

@ZhiliangWu The hotkeys haven't been defined in the workflow. You need to do it by yourself.

I've modified this workflow to include pre-defined hotkeys. I've also moved the blocks and add different colors to them for better organizing them.

Hi @shuaibird

What do you mean by "include pre-defined hotkeys". Is it even possible?

Thanks

I'm testing the new Beta of macOS as well and since Beta 4.0 of Mojave this workflow (and many other keyboard shortcuts in Alfred) are failing. I have a feeling it's something Alfred has to fix...

On that note though, I am wondering if this workflow will be improved upon at any time?

Failing hotkeys is probably more generic issue with Alfred itself not necessarily with this workflow. I am currently working on lots of tiny improvements to this workflow — mainly on multiple screens support.

Yes, that's what I am experiencing too. I'm patiently waiting for the next beta of Alfred ⏳.

That sounds great that you are continuing to improve this. It's always a bit scary to see a workflow not get updates for years.

Looking forward to the improvements (and actually looking forward to having an external monitor within the next 6 months again, so that'll be great).

Cheers 👍

Do you use this workflow on daily basis?

Download an .alfredworkflow file from this repo because I improved a lot of things few days ago. Performance is much better!

Too bad there is no way to update the workflow without losing all the custom keyboard shortcuts.

Is there a way to get that working? I am assuming, you mostly update the Apple Script thing. So maybe uploading that separately to the workflow would be great.

I'm using a whole lot of custom shortcuts for different window arrangements on a daily basis and would like to keep them.

I'm generally using the workflow more than daily for sure 💪.

Cheers - hoping that the Alfred team brings out a new version soon that has more stuff working again.

I just installed the new Alfred version and most all the Mojave issues seem to be fixed (keyboard shortcuts not working and similar). This workflow though is not working at the moment.

With that said, as mentioned before, I'd be happy to see a version of updates that leaves the keyboard shortcuts I setup custom.

Either a changelog + the file would be helpful. Or some way of updating the workflow differently.

I'm looking forward to an update on this. It's my most used workflow for sure. 🤞
