Getting TypeError when creating click.Option object

This is going to be a little difficult because my system is airgapped and the code can't be shared. But I was able to throw together a piece of code that is replicating the issue, at least for me.

Intro
I have a python program that performs tasks through python-written plugins that are loaded at the start of the program. The plugins are loaded in at the cli() functions so that by the time the run function is called, it will be able to see the plugins as subcommands. The reason it's done this way is because the plugins need to have their own command line arguments as well. Click has been great for this.

The Problem
To make plugin development easier for people that are not me, I'm trying to streamline some of the basic required options that a plugin needs to have. I found this stackoverflow that appears to do what I want, but it is not working for me. I get a typeerror saying Name 'X' defined twice, where X is just the first letter of whatever argument I try to use. I've tried all kinds of names for my option but no matter what I get this error.

Here is a severely reduced code based on my original that does appear to reproduce the problem for me. I basically took my original and slowly stripped out custom classes and options and all other code trying to find the cause of the error. I added the run_command because in the actual code there is no command under run group until the plugins are loaded. I'm going to be really mad if this just magically works for someone. NOTE: Everything else in my actual program works fine with click, it's just until I started working on this that it became a problem. Removing the code creating the Option object by itself removes the problem.

OMG, I figured it out. I thought it was typo in the stackoverflow question, but it turns out that click.Option should actually be click.option.
