Session

Session uses the Signal encryption protocol and the Loki blockchain’s decentralised Service Node network to provide anonymous, end-to-end encrypted messaging without relying on central servers.

Release overview:

Bug Fixes

  • Fixes for closed group (#816) and multi-device (#834) functionality
  • A warning will now be displayed to alert the user if an invalid Session ID is entered during the device linking process (#826)
  • The “join open group” popup will now automatically close after connecting to a group (#807)
  • Support open group domains with TLDs longer than 5 characters (#807)
  • Fixed open group message issues while in sleep mode (#835)
  • Fixed profile name handling issues for multi-device enabled Session IDs in an open group (#827)
  • Changed RSS feed names for parity with iOS (#823)

Improvements

  • Improved attachment anonymity (#829)
  • Logging adjustments, token fixes and guards added (#828, #825)
  • Improved detection of failing service nodes (for file proxying) (#807)
