Replication is not replicating

I have enabled replication to replicate an existing bucket nxtc from site A to remote rustfs instance B.

The replication took a long time, and was taking a lot of bandwidth. After some time bandwidth substantially lowered, so I assume that replication should finish.

But the two rustfs instances show substantial discrepancies. Site A occupies 335.5 GiB, Site B - 244.6 GiB. Additionally, running

$ mc diff A/nxtc B/nxtc | wc
  35650   71300 1630939

shows that buckets are far from being replicated.

Could you please help me to understand what is going on:

1. why the replication is not replicating?
2. how could I see that replication is working?
3. what are internal rustfs tools to confirm it is working?
4. how can I see the state of replication on monitoring?

It may not have concluded yet, as the completion of the data scanner is non-deterministic.

Another 24 hours passed without seeing any substantial traffic between A and B and the replication is still not "concluded".

• Why?
• What is going on under the hood?
• How can I monitor progress?
• When it will be finished - in a day, a week, a year?

It's just 330GB of data on 1Gbit link and it was started several days ago...
