I’m currently in the process of writing an emergency app for hikers that is based on Meshtastic technology. My prototype actually works quite well, but a few weeks ago I received a warning/error message stating that something was wrong with the node because it was propagating its public key. If I remember correctly, the error came in a ROUTING_APP packet. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to look into it at the time and ignored the error.
Now I want to take care of it, but I can no longer reproduce the error, and I’m worried that it will occur again at exactly the moment when it really matters - namely, in an emergency.
Does anyone know what this is exactly and under what circumstances it occurs? I know that this can happen when I reset the device, but I hadn’t done that at the time. Maybe with some additional knowledge I can reproduce the situation after all. If I’m in the wrong forum for this, please let me know as well.
