Licensing

It might be worthwhile to decide on the licensing of the various bits of output of the project early on. There are many types of licenses available and it may be difficult, or sometimes not even possible, to switch licensing at a later stage.

In principle, there are copyleft and permissive licenses.

The fossa site contains good summaries of the main attributes of specific licenses.
