Trickplay and VPU on Rockchip RK3576 - JPEG output is faulty - how to go about?

Hello.

I got me a new NAS a UGREEN DH2300, with a RK3576.

I use a Docker Container and successfully enabled Hardware Decoding and Encoding.

Now I want to use also Hardware Decoding for Trickplay.

It works on the VPU. But the output Files JPEGS are digitaly wrong.

So I got me some Consoles and observed a Jellyfin Log-Output for the commands that are related to Image-Extraction.

Edited the Command to change destination folder of the resulting Images.
Copied them then with docker cp to the Host.

I can confirm that the Files are faulty in regards of the Content, not the File on the Filesystem.

Then I tried to change just one Parameter and got the propper Content inside the JPEG-Files.

This gives me the correct results/Filecontents.

This results in wrong File-Content. (Assumption the Tonemapping is not working on this SOC)

Is it possible to set this somewhere in Jellyfin?

What I found that Jellyfin had such possibilty, but switched it of (for good reasons).

How can I reach out to the Developers, but not providing a Logfile, in the Issues?

Any help regards sending a Dev this Information or how I can do a workaround?

EDIT:

OK, I did more testing and made the discovery that the Parameter that I referred is not the one that is causing the issue.

It seems the last format=nv12 overwrites the previous parameter format=bgra.

So for now the Value bgra needs something different, like in my case format=nv12.

The root cause is that the RK3576 removed support for RGB format input from the JPEG encoder.

I planned to adjust the filter to fix this, but I forgot because there were too few users.

That was quick, way too fast for a weekend, IMHO. :)

The Rockchip RK3576 is built in newer NAS-Devices from UGreen,
and they started a very aggressive Commercial Campaign.
They forced me to buy one of them. I think ...

But the VPU converts a File in 70x. And offloads the CPU so much, that I can watch now The Muppets.

I can confirm, that the Patch is in Version 10.11.5.
It works, and thank You again.
Now the Rescan of all Videos is on the way.

First results are like it was intended.
