I would combine the two parts of the Extended Edition with mkvtoolnix to a single movie file. |

I've got The Lord of the Rings on my Jellyfin install, with both the theatrical and extended versions. The extended versions in 4K are so long with files so big that they needed to be split into two parts on two separate disks. Is there a good way for me to label/name these files to be able to access both versions, with a way to get at both parts of the extended version?
The documentation does say that "[Multiple parts] does not work with multiple versions or merging," which I do see happening if I name my files in this way:
Jelly does seem to recognize the two parts of the extended version and does present them in that way, but doesn't give me a way to get at the theatrical version. I was hoping that using brackets around the version names would give me the dropdown that I'm used to for having other single part versions (like for different resolutions, or when an extended cut is in a single file), but that doesn't seem to work how I wanted it to.
Is there some other way that I can name my files or otherwise organize them to be able to get at both parts of the extended version and the theatrical version? I'm fine with losing the multipart handling of the extended version (that is, losing the "Additional Parts" section on the movie page) if it means that I can easily get at the theatrical version. Or am I just out of luck here and am going to be stuck with the extended version unless I do something like splitting these out into their own folders so they get recognized as two separate movies?
