What steps should be taken if my existing project already uses source control and already has a (very large) overleaf for the publication? |

Woah that’s pretty cool! I will have time to look at getting it set up in a
week or so and can let you know how it works

Edit: With the new Overleaf integration features released in v0.22.0, it's
now possible to import and sync an Overleaf project as a Calkit
publication, and the Docker environment and pipeline will be automatically
updated to build the document with calkit run. Figures can tables can be
configured to push up to Overleaf from the Calkit project as well. Full
docs here: https://docs.calkit.org/overleaf/

When I try it with the cloud option, I get the following error: So I tried it without cloud, and got: Should I expect to see the DVC token warning if I'm not running with cloud? |

Actually the above was my error for not including everything in overleaf > sync_paths in the yaml file. It seems to work fine after adding all the files. |

Is there a way to disable the automatic git push? I would prefer for it to just add/commit so I can check that the changes are what I expect. thanks. |

when trying to compile the overleaf: This was solved by opening docker desktop and accepting the license terms. This was solved by hitting the restart ubuntu button that appeared in docker desktop. which seems like a calkit issue for windows filepaths again where the \ should be a / (should be paper/mdocean.tex). |

Running the pipeline results in a bunch of untracked latex files, should I be committing these or gitignoring them? |

Ok thanks! I am working on this branch
https://github.com/symbiotic-engineering/MDOcean/tree/calkit
and was just viewing the pdf with adobe reader. Normally I used overleaf
but I will check out the vscode extension.

How are you viewing the PDF? I've found it pretty nice to use VS Code with
the LaTeX Workshop extension, and view the PDF with that while working on
it. It's also possible to setup the LaTeX build command / play button to
rerun the entire pipeline.
