As for me, I got to know about AI when I was grade 9 student. Our school director was asked to send 5 students from our high school to participate in a nation-wide awareness raising seminar for high school students. I was somehow one of them. I heard about programming languages, using IT to solve problems, and their current implementation and future potential, It was much of just a talk but at the end of the day the presenter showed us applications he personally worked on - Plant Disease Detection. He brought plants and used photos from his camera to identify the healthy from the other kind, he also showed us a video of intelligent drones his team developed working on farms spraying some form of chemicals after identifying infected plants - making it all easy for those farmers. It was at that moment; I started being interested in AI :) As for which specific application of AI I want to work on, I currently have no idea. |

For me I have always had interest in computer science in general and when I found this course I thought it would be cool to take part in this huge evolution of AI and to help in getting it better to serve more people in every aspect of their lives. |
