ESXi Schema HBA Types

Wondering if anyone has some history on why the ESXi schema only supports a subset (HostBlockHba, HostFibreChannelHba, HostInternetScsiHba, and HostParallelScsiHba) of all available HBAs?

Probably just because that's all that existed when the schema was designed.
