It's still not clear on whether there's any plan or movement towards getting DS5 support on Windows version of Sunshine. Is there any branches/tags either in prerelease or from other developers that has it implemented? I don't understand why this isn't higher priority, there's a POC linked in one of the upstream discussions that demonstrates achieving this without the need for ViGemBus, what can we do to workaround this for now if the developers are uninterested in exploring these real solutions? Question
Body
My Setup:
PS5's DS5 (aka dualsense) Controller ->Windows Laptop using Moonlight Portable -> Windows Desktop using Installed Sunshine v2025.122.141614
What I've got:
My desktop computer reconginzed the controller as a DS4 controller. (Sunshine swtiched to DS4 input , and Steam recongized a DS4 controller, features like touchpad is working well, but no adaptive triggers etc.)
What I learnt from Sunshine Doc:
According to https://docs.lizardbyte.dev/projects/sunshine/latest/md_docs_2configuration.html , DS5 simulation is only supported in Linux.
What I want to ask:
So my question is that , for now (Jan. 29th 2025), it seems that we can not simulate DS5 in Sunshine Windows host?
I know there's alternative like USB-over-ip like Virtualhere However, my ultimate desire is that when will
gamepad = ds5be fully supported in Windows? Or could anyone please share some solutions so we can simulate ds5 input solely using Moonlight/Sunshine on windows.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
