How to Disable Log and Metric Providers to Stop Instrumentation for Logs and Metrics?

Hi everyone,

I'm working on a project where we need to temporarily disable the logging and metrics instrumentation to reduce resource usage. I've looked through the documentation but haven't found a clear way to fully disable log and metric providers.

Is there a configuration setting, environment variable, or other approach to entirely disable these providers? Any advice or references would be greatly appreciated!

Try setting OTEL_METRICS_EXPORTER=none and OTEL_LOGS_EXPORTER=none.
