SAML field mapping

We're just looking into using this application and have configured it successfully to login via SAML, however there doesn't appear to be any settings for SAML field mappings, i.e. firstname or givenname mapped to a name field in the application, so users don't have their full names within the app, simply the first half of their email address prior to the @.

I had a brief look at the code and, while I'm no Java developer, it appears that it simply doesn't take any of this information from the IdP. Is this the case?

If so, I can raise an enhancement request issue as it seems relatively minor to implement and yet be a decent feature.
