I tried following the Create a standalone Owl application guide and it fails with the following error:

I can't find this error by searching on google and there's nothing related to "website" in the guide so I don't know how to fix this error.

Moreover, &lt;!DOCTYPE html&gt; should probably be written as <!DOCTYPE html>, no?

I was able to make it work by adding website=True to the controller:

from odoo.http import request, route, Controller

class YourController(Controller):
    @route("/your_module/standalone_app", auth="public", website=True)
    def standalone_app(self):
        return request.render(
            'your_module.standalone_app',
            {
                'session_info': request.env['ir.http'].get_frontend_session_info(),
            }
        )

Thank you @fruedaCode for trying to help. I won't test because this is not longer useful to the company I work for (we decided to pick an enterprise that actually tries to help their customers), but it might be useful to other people.
