Any plans for that?

Gnome without Elegance is terrible! ;)

yeah, if you copy gs-3.14 to gs-3.16 it sort of works with only some minor glitches.

Indeed. I created my own Numix theme with elegance-colors and now there are some remnants of stock Gnome 3.16 poking through. For example, the blue lines in the top bar as seen here. Look at the blue line under the Activities menu and the blue line appearing under the Firefox logo.

Also with Gnome 3.16, I can no longer disable the icon from appearing next to the name in the top bar

+1 for 3.16 support. I assume the blue underline on top bar and on menus are going to be removed?

@crossroads1112 is right, elegance-colors process is no longer able to hide the app icon, the workaround is to use the following extension: https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/810/hide-app-icon/

Damn, I was hoping it was just a bug on my new install. It still works on a few other machines after upgrading to 3.16. :(

I vote for 3.16 support too. Elegance is the coolest thing for Gnome customizing.

I'll update it, but I was planning to rewrite and improve it so that it's easier to use. But it'll take some time.

That would be awesome!

Please do. My Sass-ified Numix GTK+ theme is feeling lonely...

Any news on the rewrite? How is it going?

I'll be more than happy to transfer this project to someone who can maintain it. It seems I've too much at hand to work on this right now :(

@satya164 Either way at least I'm grateful for the time I could use your work. You're in your right to have more important things to do, after all you were doing the community a favour.
A shame I know no Vala and am not too much into theming, otherwise I could take a look.
ATM there are some great themes, like Arc, but lets hope people don't forget about the old ones, because this was definitely the most customizable theme yet.
Once again, thanks ;)

@claudioap We can rewrite the project in GJS and Sass too if you know JavaScript.

@satya164 Sorry, I'm trying to get into low level, theming is not my thing nor is JavaScript.
Maybe someday if I need to do a GUI for some reason.
Vala seems worth to learn to build GTK GUIs, and in that case, understanding theming would be a plus.
The closest I've ever been to Gnome-Shell/GTK was with PyGobject, and didn't went too deep (just about 1k lines of GTK with a few theme hacks).
As of now, I don't think I'm able to do a relevant contribution.

Have you tried to leave a request for help at the GNOME IRC to see if you can get anyone interested to work in your project? There are some experts that could help you, and I believe that an expert could re-write something like elegance-colors in a few days writing code an hour or two each day. It isn't exactly the biggest code-base ever.

+1 for GNOME 3.16 support. Is there a bit of code I can paste somewhere to make the blue bars go away, until the rewrite is done?

Well, might be better to focus on 3.18 by now.

That's fine, as I have arch. Whenever 3.18 comes out I'll have it.
