Map disappears sometimes (aka turns white)

This issue does not seem to be systematic so hard to reproduce which means it will likely be hard to fix. Here's what Sebastien found:
"disappearance of the maps: the locator seems lost and display a white map without delineation (you can then see back the map by clicking enlarging). Alternatively, the locator displays the full earth. This seems to happens similarly when we shift from a subregion to another big region. But it doesn't happen systematically."
