Add shortcut to toggle open/close the sidebar #223
Comments
Currently, only Firefox has the ability to close the side panel programmatically; the others do not support this yet. There is, however, a keyboard shortcut for opening it. |
I set open side bar with ctrl + shift + k but hitting the same ctrl + shift + k does NOT close the sidebar. Chrome Version 130.0.6723.70 (Official Build) (64-bit) desired behavior: short cut for opening the sidebar would also close the sidebar thank you |
Hey @pleabargain, For the Chrome store, I'm waiting for approval—hopefully by today. Only the Mozilla add-on was approved instantly |
Does this work in floorp? i'm hitting ctrl shift p and it simply opens a private window. Where can we change the button combination? |
Hey @zono50 , on Floorp or Firefox-based browsers, you can change the shortcut like this. You can also close the sidebar programmatically by invoking the same keystroke used to open it, as Firefox supports this feature. floorp_VsAiX3Ei0z.mp4 |
Now we can only add shortcut for open sidebar.
I hope we can use the same shortcut to toggle the open/close of sidebar.
This may make it more convenient for any webpage.
If one can use shortcut to quickly open it, but cannot use shortcut to quickly close it, then it's likely that people don't use it at all.
