When searching for ります, it gets deinflected to "る、りる" (whether this is useful is debatable, but it certainly follows the rules) which then matches the る in 叱る.
I believe this is because the entry for said verb contains an additional Kanji form, which has no readings nor any other data associated to it. Hence, this Kanji form only sees the suffix る, which technically matches my search. I have attached some screenshots below.
I know it says to contact Jim Breen, but I do not think that adding this Kanji to KanjiDict is the issue here.
