Qolibri often not starting #60

Thanks for reporting this. Would be good to know what platform you're on. Assuming it's Windows, but which version? I haven't run into startup issues anywhere. My first guess would have been a flaky/slow network drive, but running as admin would hardly fix this... What does qolibri do instead of starting? Is there an error message? Does it exit immediately? Or does it hang / take very long to start? Native audio playback is implemented but not released yet. This recent build has it. Just clear the |
Hey! Thanks for getting back! :)
I’m on Windows 11 and use fast m.2 ssds ;)
Basically nothing happens. No error. Task manager will show multiple instances of qolibri. Closing all of them and trying to start qolibri again won’t fix the issue.

Native audio playback is implemented but not released yet. This recent build<https://github.com/mvf/qolibri/files/13195522/qolibri-HEAD.zip> has it. Just clear the Sound(wave) path in the External program options so it says (internal audio player). Please let me know if audio doesn't work with that version.

Still stumped by this. If you want to try a 64-bit build with the very latest Qt, you can get it from the GitHub Actions I'm currently setting up. Just click on the latest run and download the 64-bit apps are fundamentally different from 32-bit apps. Maybe this sidesteps whatever keeps qolibri from starting. |
Hey Matthias,
thank you very much for still looking into this! 😊
I will download the new version and have a look how it will perform over time.

Heyho,
I have downloaded the latest version and noticed that Qolibri is very inconsistent in starting up.
Most of the times it will not boot up at all. If i run it as admin though, it will work everytime. But it is quite annoying.
Is there a possible fix?
And also, might it be possible to enable native wave support for audio files like in the original Qolibri version?
Thanks in advance :)
