People love screenshots to see whether or not the visualization of the feeds within Emacs is something they want or not.

Or do a screencast:

Example how I did it: https://github.com/novoid/filetags/

Done using Xubuntu, https://obsproject.com/ + key-mon using the following workflow:

  • plug-in external microphone
  • start ose
    • one-time setup
      • settings
        • Output > Recording path
        • Output > Recording Format: mp4
        • Audio > Mic/Auxiliary Audio Device: Snowball
        • Hotkeys > Super (Windows) , and . for start/stop recording
      • setup Sources > screen capture XSHM (via +)
    • manually enlarge the red border of the capture area so that the xfce menu is out of sight
  • change emacs screen size so that it matches the new capture area of ose
  • start key-mon to show keyboard action
  • change to Emacs
  • press Windows-, to start recording and have some fun
  • final mp4 lands in the Recording path set above

There is also https://gitlab.com/ambrevar/emacs-gif-screencast but I didn't look into it myself since I am very happy with the process above.
