I'm glad that you admitted in public (I call it courage as I see you as person living from advicing on good practices) @mitchtabian, but I need some discussion on it.

WARNING: I do not maintain this code and there are MANY bad practice methods. I do not recommend copying any of this code.

Is that because you were wrong from the very beginnig? Or because on May 28, 2017 (date of the very 1st commit) that code was cool but it got obsolete after Feb 7, 2019 when that warning was added?
