How can entry content updates be prevented?

Hi, I’d like to ask about Miniflux’s behavior regarding entry content updates, and whether there are ways to prevent these updates.

Background

I'm using a service called miniflux-ai, which generates a summary or translation and places it at the top of an entry's content. The workflow is like this:

1. Fetch unread entries via API and Webhook from Miniflux
2. Generate a summary/translation
3. Append the result back into the entry content

This works well for most feeds.

Problem

However, I’ve noticed that some RSS feeds always overwrite their entry content each time Miniflux pulls or refreshes them. Most of them doesn't enable Fetch Original Content.
As a result, it forces miniflux-ai to re-process the same entries repeatedly.

1. Under what conditions does Miniflux decide to update the entry content
2. Are there recommended ways to prevent Miniflux from updating entry content
