Found a (really funny) workaround: Create a shortcut with the WinGet command and open it using Explorer. Hopefully there can be a more elegant solution in the future. |

I'm putting together a PowerShell script to set up a new Windows installation, and among the tasks I have it completing is the installation of programs through WinGet. However, I'm running into the issue that, for some reason, some packages will refuse to install if run with administrative privileges. Is there any way around this? A way to run WinGet deëlevated for that program or to start an unelevated process that then runs WinGet? Or do I just have to install such packages manually?
