I understand that it's possible to add extra include paths by modifyingsettings.json, but other IDEs that I've worked with have been able to inherit include paths from the environment (e.g. $INCLUDE, $CPATH, etc.).
Does VS Code support this behaviour by default? I cannot find any mention in any of the documentation, other than this fixed bug report that $env should be processed in the settings.json file. I can add ${env.CPATH} to C_Cpp.default.includePath in defaultSettings.json, but I don't know if that's redundant.
