Hello,
I'm doing a project that would data from this site: https://npiregistry.cms.hhs.gov/
On this page is a link to "Downloads" on the top menu of the page.
That takes you to this page: https://www.cms.gov/Regulations-and-Guidance/Administrative-Simplification/NationalProvIdentStand/DataDissemination
At the bottom of that page is a link near the bottom under the Heading "Related Links" and the downloadable zip file is under the "NPI Downloadable File" hyperlink.
This zip file is 760 meg but once unzipped it grows to over 8 gig. The CSV within the file I want to import is about 7.5 gig.
I tried the import wizard in SQL Server and it could not open it based on the large size.
If I can get it to open, I could trim out many of the un-needed fields as I only need about 8 and the rest could be deleted.
Any suggestions on how to do this, or is the CSV to large to import to MS SQL Server? Sorry for the long post, I just wanted to be explicit with what is needed.
Thank you for any help you can provide!
Edward
