SeedStudio XIAO ESP32S3 responds to config changes via web with error 8

I'm having an issue with this chip where I am trying to make changes to its config using the web client connected via the serial connection, but no changes will be retained.

• board: SeedStudio XIAO ESP32S3 with Wio-SX1262 extension board
• fw version: v2.5.16.f81d3b0
• browser: Brave Version 1.73.101 Chromium: 131.0.6778.139

I can load the node fine into the web client, but when I commit any changes, including removing a node from the DB, but the change is not retained and the node will not reboot.

Having a look in the console I can see the following errors, but as I can't see any reference to them in the docs, I'm unsure if this falls into a hardware issue or software.
Routing Error: 8
Error received for packet 990238692: NO_RESPONSE

I have tried other devices I have and they all work fine using the same setup and version.
