While I'm tempted to leave community as simple as it is now, perhaps one more major area of functionality would make it complete for our needs. Free-form, community maintained Lists.

A list would essentially be something with a title and description, and N free-form elements. The lists index would show all the lists on the site, and clicking on a list would show you all the elements in the list.

So we could have things like:

"Student Projects"
"Core Projects"
"Course Materials"
"Featured Community Members"
...

Each list element could have a conversation thread associated with it.

Not sure how permissions would work, because we don't want lists to proliferate like crazy. Maybe something like admins can create lists but community members can contribute to them.

Let's discuss Friday.
