Proposed definitions from @zhengj2007 issue # 62

household wealth index
- numerical household wealth index: A data item of a household's cumulative living standard represented in a numerical datum. The wealth index is calculated using easy-to-collect data on a household's ownership of selected assets, such as televisions and bicycles; materials used for housing construction; and types of water access and sanitation facilities. (parent: IAO_0000027 data item)
- categorical household wealth index: A data item about a household's cumulative living standard represented in a categorical datum. The wealth index is calculated using data on a household's ownership of selected assets, such as televisions and bicycles; materials used for housing construction; and types of water access and sanitation facilities. (parent: IAO_0000027 data item)

OBI has a categorical measurement datum class. Would this be a good parent class for categorical household wealth index?

Also, is a numerical household wealth index a scalar measurement datum?

The wealth index is calculated using some formula rather than assay, So, I am not sue whether they are measurement datum, a result get from assay. You can find OBI:average value, an output of data transformation, is a data item but not a subclassOf measurement datum.

I am planning to bring the issue to OBI developers soon.
