Haven't been able to build CM10.2-d2vzw since around the 10/15 nightly.

Is this on an NTFS partition? I broke support for NTFS a while back. I am
working on a fix right now, but if you are you can try a fat32 drive.

If you are already on ext3/4 or fat32, I will look again when I am on a
workstation. But I am certain CM has been patchable for essentially the
whole time. So I believe that our issue is elsewhere.

Yup, my bad, I was running using Cygwin64 against NTFS. It works under linux with JFS.
I'm testing on fat32 under cygwin (but the only fat volume I have is a crappy thumb drive, so it may take a while).

Oh I want to fix it. I spent some time on it last night, your situation but
in reverse, a crappy thumb drive with NTFS.

Glad you can patch, I will update here when I have news about fixing NTFS

This must be something with how cygwin handles external drives. I just
spent a good bit of time formatting a thumb drive as NTFS and setting the
executable bit. NTFS thumb drives work when attached to a Linux box. U even
deleted my swap partition and formatted that space as NTFS. That worked as
well.

So this looks to be more about the external drive than the format. Maybe.

I am working on adding some additional debugging. I know basically where it
is failing, but which construction exactly is difficult when I cannot
interact with the failure personally.

Thanks for the report. I will update here when the extra debugging is added.
