No luck with ..\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install -r .\requirements_versions.txt I had to use full directory calls to solve my issues. Also, with this method, you can have the command line open in any folder or just USE the run command in Windows. I:\fooocus.git\app\python\python.exe -m pip install -r I:\fooocus.git\app\requirements_versions.txt |

Nothing outlined above works. Did all of this #(Open a terminal in the Fooocus folder (go to the location of config.txt, open terminal by clicking in the address bar of the file explorer, type cmd and hit enter) and run git pull. If you do not have git installed, skip to step 2. 3 or 4 times and a fresh install of everything.
Hope someone has another way to get around this? So far only way for me to be able to use Fooocus is through Stability Matrix.... |

After executing the solution, I encountered the following message at the end of the update installation. Preparing metadata (setup.py) ... error × python setup.py egg_info did not run successfully. note: This error originates from a subprocess, and is likely not a problem with pip. × Encountered error while generating package metadata. note: This is an issue with the package mentioned above, not pip. |

Great update! i was wondering is it possible somehow to pre-download all required models and possible additional repos beforehand? now it will download each feature only during usage, like inpaint models while using inpainting or upscalers. it would be extremely useful if i could preload everything for example on machine with good internet and low specs and move all this glory to the machine where i will be running fooocus. something like --preload-all-features would be a life saver. |

Great Update! cant wait to use it. I ran into some issues while updating and might have updated PIP manually. I then tried your first method and ran and then returns this traceback:
Please help!!! cant wait to run fooocus again. |

You, Manuel, have the most advanced build of Fooocus. You're doing a great job. I would like to ask, how can I enable translation of the interface into another language? Before the update, this way worked: This method doesn't work now, unfortunately. |

Thanks for your prompt reply.and all that you do to enhance my life with
Fooocus.
On running your suggested fix, I received multiple versions of this warning:
*WARNING: The script httpx.exe is installed in
'D:\Fooocus_win64_2-1-791\python_embeded\Scripts' which is not on PATH.
Consider adding this directory to PATH or, if you prefer to suppress this
warning, use --no-warn-script-location.*
How do I add this subdir to "PATH"?. In other words, where and how is
"PATH" configured?
And thanks for all that you do to enhance my creative life with Fooocus.

Please run D:\Fooocus_win64_2-1-791\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip
install -r D:\Fooocus_win64_2-1-791\Fooocus\requirements_versions.txt and
try again. You may also run this command in a privileged terminal to
prevent issues with your permissions.
If this doesn't help you can always redownload Fooocus and move over your
models / config / presets / wildcards / etc. manually.

First let me say, that I've been using fooocus for probably 6 months. Never had a problem. Ever - Until now. Now is a nightmare. To all the intellectual computer gurus out there, (and I say that with respect), I'm sure most of what's written in these threads is easily understood. However, there is a percentage of people, like me, who may as well be reading Chinese math when we log onto GitHub. So could someone please help me understand what I'm doing wrong. Number 1. I wiped my hard drive two days ago. I Downloaded a fresh Fooocus file. I notice its the new. 2.5.0. I say, "No problem, I'll install it like I did before with the older version. I click run and this is what I get. I then run as Admin and this is what I get. So, slightly upset, yet remaining calm, I check github. I read something about opening a "terminal" in the fooocus folder or run "git pull" and (I'm like, "What's a terminal and how to you pull a git?"). Reading further, (and I guess down a little, for the dummies), I read something about using embedded python methods or downloading fooocus again with a zip file, and I think, "Is this fooocus thing going to be used only by people who can read Chinese math?" So finally, and after watching a youtube video, I figure out that copying and pasting this: (..\python_embeded\python.exe -m pip install -r .\requirements_versions.txt) into the cmd address bar, in the foocus folder, and then something began to work. I thought, "There is a God, and he may actually like me today". And this is what I get again: But wait! By a stroke of luck and temporary genius, I see at the bottom of the dos screen is says to update "PIP". Great! What the heck is a PIP? I then copied the line above (python.exe -m pip install -r requirements_versions.txt) into the dos command line. Not because I was told. But because I guessed. It worked. It said "Pip was updated." ....... I thought, "Ok, maybe now?" Nope. There is a God, but he does not like me. All I'm asking is, Can this be made a little easier to follow? I still can't run fooocus after 8 hours, (I even wiped my hard drive again) and I have no idea what I'm suppose to do. I've downloaded and attempted to install it 4 times - and I would be willing to bet that I'm not alone. I just think alot of people are intimidated by the directions on Github and they're afraid to ask for fear of looking like an idiot. Probably like how I look right now. Yet, I'm willing to be the sacrificial lamb. I get that fooocus is open source and free. And I can't stress enough how much I appreciate that. I really mean that. And I appreciate all the hard work "masb1t" does here. He's an angel of mercy. I couldn't imagine the stress that guy goes through on the daily. But I am now questioning if all this is worth the misery I'm going through. Is it possible to make this program more user friendly to install, or at the very least walk us through this with detailed step-by-step instructions? And just in case you're thinking that I'm too lazy to search through thousands of threads in Github to figure out what's going on - that's what I spent 8 hours doing. There are no arrows pointing in the right direction. and everyone's nightmare is different. Thank you in advance. |
