Hello.

I am using LinShare 6.3.0 and I have a few questions about anonymous shares:

  • It seems like LinShare automatically generates a password for protected links. Is there a way to change the complexity of the password?

  • Passwords and protected links are sent together in the same e-mail, which is kinda unsafe. Can I change this behavior, and send the password to the owner rather than the recipient?

  • I did not find the e-mail template used when sharing anonymous links. I only found "SHARE_ANONYMOUS_RESET_PASSWORD" template, which do not match the e-mail the recipient receives (and I don't even know how to reset password for an anonymous link)

Could you please help me with those issues?

Regards.

Hello,

=>> No, the passwords need to comply with the password rules set by LinShare, you cannot change in this case

Passwords and protected links are sent together in the same e-mail, which is kinda unsafe. Can I change this behavior, and send the password to the owner rather than the recipient?

=>> For currently it is impossible, but we are planning it in the new version

I did not find the e-mail template used when sharing anonymous links. I only found "SHARE_ANONYMOUS_RESET_PASSWORD" template, which do not match the e-mail the recipient receives (and I don't even know how to reset password for an anonymous link)

=>> you can find it in template :"SHARE_NEW_SHARE_FOR_RECIPIENT": A recipient receives a file share link, it is one of the scenarios
