I fail to see how messages are consumed in the "application/job/rabbitmq/worker.py" code sample.

This issue is currently awaiting triage.

SIG Docs takes a lead on issue triage for this website, but any Kubernetes member can accept issues by applying the triage/accepted label.

Whoeps, just realised the clue is in Dockerfile itself. I assumed the code sample should have made use of the amqp-consume binary. So this is a non issue. The only suggestions I have for clarity is to mention the Dockerfile earlier in that section.
