PNGquant.py to APP

Hello, I used ChatGPT to create what may seem to you like a barbaric Python script. But there it is. It works. It incorporates a good part, I think, of the functions that your algorithm allows. But... probably not everything. But... I can't seem to turn it into an application. I am on a Mac. And I would really like your help. I also included the Python script for you to see what I did. But... what I would really like to know is how I could turn it into a MacOS application. I have already tried using... Platypus. Or... PyInstaller. Or... Py2App. I managed to get an application where the Unix executable, if launched manually, works. But when double-clicking on the application, nothing happens. Of course, I used CHMOD +X.Oh and just to let you know, I don't know how to code.
