Is it possible to consume this as a library without having to run the entire editor?

In its current form, no. Could it be made into a library? Sure, with a little bit of effort.

If you're pressed for time, I would delete the extraneous UI and put it in an iframe on whatever other project you have. Maybe do some message passing to pass the url to it or even for sending the resulting image back up to the parent window.
