<p><b>InterPlanetary File System</b> (<b>IPFS</b>) is a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Communications_protocol" title="Communications protocol">protocol</a> and <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peer-to-peer" title="Peer-to-peer">peer-to-peer</a> network for storing and sharing data in a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Distributed_file_system" title="Distributed file system">distributed file system</a>. IPFS allows users to not only receive but host content.
