Homepage delay

I have selected as the homepage the url chrome://bookmarks
This one shows the list of my bookmarks. But when I open kiwi browser it delays like 1 second or so to show the list of bookmarks. Firstly it open with the dark page and then after a second loads the bookmarks.
Not only happened with this url. I tested some other wirh the same result, is like the browser waits for a while until it goes to the commanded page.
Is there a way to avoid it?
