Update from dev team & Zoom?

This sadly seems to be on life support ever since Zoom took over. Can we get an update on the plan for this project? Is it even safe to use anymore? No security notices or transparency reports have been published since 2018. I'd hate to close my account as there is NOTHING out there to replace it...
