Just in case somebody has the same issue under Ubuntu. There was a package missing, which is required:" libfile-homedir-perl".

I installed this package from Github master and it solved my problem. I'm using OS X with Sublime Text 3. I used to install this plugin through Package Control.

Solved on Windows 10 by running Package Control: Add Repository with https://github.com/ketan/BeautifyLatex.git and then Package Control: Upgrade Package with BeautifyLatex.

I can run latexindent from the command line and it seems to work great, but I get "Error: invalid output. Check your latexindent settings", when I run from ST3.1.1, Build 3176. I'm on Mac 10.13.6.

No, "libfile-homedir-perl" is an Ubuntu package

I am running BeautifyLatex on ST4 in Windows 10. I have latexindent.exe and defaultSettings, yaml in my path. ctrl+alt+l gives the error invalid output: check your latexindent settings. I tried the solution suggested by scottgigante, but I still get the same error.
