Hey, after getting nothing on my question in #927 I'm still looking for a solution.
After finding and reading some more discussions about the group by XX and it's problems (e.g. each month has different length) I had another idea how this may be relative "easy" to be solved.
On creation of a utility meter in Home Assistant, you can specify a reset interval of: 15min, hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, 2 months, quarter year and yearly.
So how about a grouping if the value is set back to zero by Home Assistant, which is basically a
group: reset
Since Home Assistant seems to use a cronjob to plan the resets, this would take care of the "different-length-of-month" issue, right?
