I didn't see any feet in the stl files so I made this, a 12 mm long M3 screw fits well.

I didn't have any M3 T nuts either but there are stls for that too, although I didn't like them and made my own to take an M3 nut, with stepped offsets for proper bridging when printed nut side down:

If you print this with a brim, don't be surprised that the brim seeps into the inside as well, because of the little notches there.

i feel like at some point i think the vertical axis design needs some work screwing in the leg

If you look at (#20) you can see where @Chuckles182 changed where the holes are in the c-axis base so that that part is also under the metal -- I like that change as it makes the plastic into a proper base and we can probably get to the point where there is no need for the feet at all. At least not different lengths of feet.

I was trying to understand how the t-nut-M4 feet were not just sliding out, but I think they must be screwed in so far as to no longer be adjustable. In my case, I used those as the axis which cannot be adjusted and then adjusted the m3 feet to rocker back and forth to level out.

Not perfect, yet.

I like this improvement. Would like to see some push requests -- I haven't completed enough working mods myself to push anything, and I don't see that @Chuckles182 has a fork of the github repo.

Hi thanks for the kind words. I did lengthen the base frame and now the 20x40 vertical extrusion sits on top of the horizontal extrusion. This was to make use of extrusion from my Ender 3.

I think that the flange marked "1," started off as a good idea. It helps lock everything in place, but as I got further on in the build I realized a serious problem with it. With that 20x20 extrusion being locked in, there is no way to adjust the print bed to make sure it is perfectly aligned with the print nozzle.

I did make feet for the extrusion the same thickness as the base frame. It uses a M3x8(?) and t-nuts to lock it in. Just put them side by side for the 20x40 extrusion.

The extrusion is long because I am reusing parts from my Ender 3 and didn't feel like cutting it up just yet.

I haven't made a fork yet, honestly because I didn't know that was a thing or how to do that. Maybe I'll get around to it this weekend.

Yeah, that's true, some of my feet were pretty much screwed right up against the extrusion, although the t-nuts I printed up are stiff enough to lock the feet in place, with a couple mm of adjustment. Presumably there shouldn't be any need to level the printer itself, so your fixed feet look more robust and professional.

I love this site - everyone's so civil and full of compliments! If this were on fb the very first post would be someone howling that your printer is crap and you need to run out and buy the one they use, and it would have only gone downhill from there. :)
