I wanted to create a Thieves Guild plot that would need Pick Pockets to complete (because it's a basic skill of thieves and what's the point of a thieves guild that doesn't have pickpockets). However, I can't find a good way to insert a prefab item into an existing NPC's inventory where it can be pickpocketed.
The nearest I have is to construct the NPC completely as a prefab with the item to be stolen already in its inventory, but I can't install a GET trigger on the item to be stolen because I don't have direct access to it (in particular I can't FacXP+ 13 2 on successfully nabbing the item). The best I could do would be to put direct clue or use attributes on the item that would then be needed to continue the plot, but those also can't trigger any special triggers for the item since I can't Compose the item in the plot.
