annoying flashing highlight when I jump into the definition on a function

Great extension, but in the latest version whenever I jump to the function definition the plugin highlights the entire function (in orange in my color theme) and about 0.2 secs later remove the highlight. This (in my opinion) creates a very annoying flashing look.

I think this is due to vscode itself not the extension
