Depends on: #1

Getting the stars over time shouldn't be too difficult.

There is also other existing tooling we might be able to borrow from such as https://github.com/vesoft-inc/github-statistics

From my understanding, by tracking behavior over-time, we are not just interested in a snapshot of the current state but rather in how these metrics evolve, increase, or decrease across different time periods. Only question I have is what this time interval would be, would it be daily or weekly or a specific number of times.
Update : from looking at the #6 task data is gathered weekly

I think weekly would make the most sense here. Granular enough to make any resulting graph look not too bumpy.

I want to solve this problem. Tracking the starts and forks using GitHub API.
