http://contribute.jquery.org/bug-reports/ was ported from MediaWiki and updated to address all projects instead of just core. The content should be reviewed for completeness and links to latest releases and WIP builds for all projects should be included (preferably by linking to pages that will be updated when releases occur).

This page isn't currently discoverable without searching the site.

We should add a link in the site header for contribute.jquery.org.

Some thoughts on that article:

  • We're talking about jQuery's use of IRC but don't link up irc.jquery.com.
  • We're saying people should try a WIP build of jQuery, we should probably add an explanation how to do that.
  • Some parts of that article seem really specific to reporting core bugs.
  • In general we've always been saying to use "jsfiddle or jsbin", but here only jsfiddle is mentioned.
  • IMHO we should consider dropping in http://css-tricks.com/reduced-test-cases/. Explains everything beautifully.
  • People should be around after they reported the bug to provide extra information. We're not mentioning that.
